FAST Australia launched in October 2010. We were inspired by the mission and energy of FAST in the United States and driven to address the lack of research and understanding into Angelman Syndrome in Australia,. Our combined energies create a powerful force in the search for a therapeutic interventions and a cure to treat Angelman Syndrome.

The Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics Australia (or FAST) is an organisation of families and professionals dedicated to finding a cure for Angelman Syndrome and related disorders through the funding research, education, and advocacy. The Foundation is committed to assisting individuals living with Angelman Syndrome to realise their full potential and quality of life. Scientific Advisory Board
The Scientific Advisory Board (or SAB) consists of nationally and internationally recognised clinicians and scientists considered experts in their respective fields. Specific disciplines represented by the SAB include; pediatric neurology, epilepsy, diet and nutrition, human neurodevelopment, human cognitive disorders, small animal behavior, animal models of human disorders, mechanisms of learning and memory, synaptic plasticity and function, cellular signal transduction, cellular protein trafficking, epigenetics and genetics.
